WHAT IS BAPTISM?
A picture of new life
Water baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation. It doesn’t save us. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus alone. But baptism is a public declaration that we belong to Him.
Baptism pictures the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Going under the water represents dying to our old life, and coming up out of the water represents being raised to walk in a new life with Christ.
