What you’ll own

• Set and execute a clear vision for children’s ministry that matches our mission, culture, and theology
• Recruit, onboard, schedule, train, and pastor roughly 40 volunteers — caring for them, not simply scheduling them
• Identify emerging leaders and build clear pathways for volunteers to grow in responsibility
• Oversee Sunday environments end to end: welcoming, organized, age-appropriate, and biblically sound curriculum
• Own child safety — background checks, screening, volunteer-to-child ratios, and keeping policies current
• Communicate clearly with parents, build trust with families, and manage schedules, calendars, and the ministry budget

Who you are

• Faithful and humble — deeply committed to Jesus and His Word, willing to bring a towel, not a title
• Experienced leading children’s ministry, and recruiting, training, and developing volunteers
• Organized and dependable — able to turn vision into consistent execution and plan ahead
• A developer of people who sees potential in volunteers and leads through a team rather than doing everything personally
• Relational with kids, parents, and volunteers, and teachable enough to receive feedback with humility
• Comfortable with the tools the job runs on: Planning Center, Church Center, Subsplash, and Google Workspace

What this role is not

You won’t carry overall church vision, adult ministries, facilities, or church finances — and you won’t be the default volunteer for every open spot. Your job is to build and lead the ministry, not to personally do everything in it.
