Exampled Faith
This sermon explores the foundational truth that salvation comes through faith alone, not through works or religious rituals. Using Romans 4 as the primary text, the message emphasizes that believers cannot earn God's favor through good deeds, spiritual disciplines, or religious traditions. Instead, righteousness is imputed—credited instantly to those who believe, just as it was to Abraham before his circumcision. The sermon challenges the common tendency to identify with past sins or present struggles rather than embracing our identity as children of God. It reveals how easily believers fall into performance-based Christianity, thinking God's blessings depend on church attendance, Bible reading, prayer, or service. True faith means coming to God empty-handed, releasing our attempts to earn His favor, and receiving the fullness of what He freely gives. The Holy Spirit serves as both sign and seal of our salvation, providing assurance that we belong to God not because of our performance, but because of His promise.
